              HALL OF FAME TOURNAMENTS

                Rules and Regulations

-Courtesy runners-pitchers and catchers are allowed.
-Pitching rule – No limit. High School rules for visits.
-Two extra hitters will be allowed.
-Free substitution on defense except for pitcher visits.
-In the event that a player is removed from a game for any reason and there are no substitutes to bat an automatic out will be declared.
-You may only play on one team during the tournament.
-Home team will be determined by a coin toss for the first game.  Home teams after game 1 will be determined by who was home team the least.  If each team has the same number of home games, a coin toss will be used. The team which loses the toss may choose the dugout unless the winner of the toss would rather choose the dugout than be home team.
-All games have a 2 hour time limit except for the championship. Ties will be counted in pool play. In elimination games the hofball tie-breaker will be used after 7 innings or time has expired before 7 innings. Each half inning will begin with the bases loaded and no outs. The last 3 batting positions of the previous inning will occupy the bases in reverse order.
-Tie breakers:
  Head to head
  Three way tie
  Least runs allowed
  Most runs scored
  Coin toss
When a three way tie is broken, head to head prevails
-In the event of rain, National Federation rules will apply.
-Each team must help chase foul balls on their half of the field.
-No spikes, food, gum or seeds in batting cages.
-Coaches need to have their players with them or in uniform to enter games.
-If rain does not allow the tournament to finish the top two seeds will be Champion and runner-up. Head to head and least runs allowed will determine champion. Championship game will always have priority.

-Each team must pay one ump per game at home plate-$50
-Each team should put in 2 balls to start game and then rotate putting in a ball as needed.
-Each team needs an insurance certificate and roster available to show.
-Please use turf shoes in the batting cages.
-There will be an outstanding concession stand available for players and fans.
-Daily admission charge-Adults-$5  Students-$3.
-no coolers by fans-Team cooler only.
-I will invite the local colleges and scouts to attend so if you have rosters it would be helpful.
-All tournament info will be on www.hofball.net.

I will also be presenting a college recruiting session after games 2, AND4 on Saturday. Please invite your parents to attend and bring your players. It will be under the Stadium and will only take 30 minutes. Each family who attends will get a free web site page and a personal evaluation from the NCSA. This is a must if a player wants the best chance to play at the next level.
